The Alaska Lactation Consultants Association is a subcommittee of the Alaska Breastfeeding Coalition with the goal to further professional development of International Board Certified Lactation Consultants.​


The By-Laws Committee dives deep into the ABC archives to pull important rules & regulations in our organization. They also incorporate more inclusive & diverse terminology to ensure ABC stays current & equitable.

Baby Cafe - Fairbanks

The Fairbanks Breastfeeding Coalition launched a virtual version of Fairbanks Baby Café October 2020. It's an opportunity for moms to connect with peers for support, share breastfeeding experiences, and get answers to common breastfeeding questions. Virtual gatherings are facilitated by community lactation professionals. Pre-register by phone (978-406-9746) or e-mail (fairbanksbabycafe@gmail.com). We hope to gather in person in the future, but are starting virtually at this time.

Breastfeeding Welcomed Here for Child Care sites follow national breastfeeding and infant feeding standards.
